Walking through the park one day, Neil Young is stopped by a fan, who asks him how he plays “Cinnamon Girl”.

Neil sits, double-drops the guitar tuning down to D, shows the fan how to play the song, and then strolls off. Pretty cool.

Both the 6th and 1st strings need to be tuned down to D. You can do this by ear using the open 4th string as a reference.
