From now on The Song’s the Thing! is totally dedicated to:

and Music 🎵
It’s squarely aimed at those deeply interested in songs, songwriting, and performance.
There will be tutorials, commentary, and opinion — all with an emphasis on becoming a better songwriter, guitarist, performer, and recording-artist.
From time to time, there will also be:
Interviews and conversations with music folk.
Music industry insider anecdotes.
Reviews of my favourite gear.
Some of my original songs.

At this time, in late December 2023, I’m at a crucial point in developing and expanding this venture. Apart from the fact that it takes resources to keep the lights on, I also need resources for long-term development.
So, I’m also reaching out to potential patrons1 for direct support with developing and establishing my two Substack channels long-term.
In particular, I’m aiming to vastly improve the quality of my content and create more podcasts. For this I need not only to commit more time, I also would need some specialist kit, just for example better cameras.
